Shlomo Tidhar has over 40 years’ experience in the global diamond industry. He has consulted a range of clients including exploration and mining companies Stornoway Diamond Corporation in Montreal and Lucara Diamond Corporation in Vancouver, which holds stakes in two important African mining projects. Between 1996 and 2007, Mr. Tidhar was vice president of diamond valuation at Aber Diamond Corporation, which in 2006 bought Harry Winston and became Harry Winston Diamond Corporation. Mr Tidhar was instrumental in creating the company’s sorting and pricing system and had a leading role in the sales of Harry Winston’s (and Aber Diamond Corp’s) share of rough diamonds at Canada’s Diavik mine, which exceeded $300 million each year between 2003 and 2007.
Edahn Golan is a diamond industry analyst who has advised investment houses, global diamond firms, miners, diamond industry organizations, a major diamond trading platform, government agencies and the world’s second largest retail metrics firm. His expertise ranges from the provenance of fancy color diamonds to the contribution of diamonds to local economies. He has written on diamonds for consulting firms including KPMG, Bain & Co and Wall Street investment firm Index IQ. For 12 years, Edahn Golan was the editor in chief of IDEX Online, a leading diamond industry news publication.
Kovi Moodley has 10 years’ experience advising and investing in European and US companies. He worked at strategy and corporate finance houses, Kurt Salmon, Athens Europe and Stern Stewart & Co, where he advised on buy and sell side transactions as well as on strategy projects related to profitability and growth. He holds an MBA in Finance from Simon School, University of Rochester in New York and is a UK-qualified management accountant.
Yuval Gan-Or has spent the last 13 years in the diamond industry. Working for both sightholders and other manufacturers, Mr Gan-Or honed his diamond skills by evaluating, buying and selling all sizes and shapes of diamonds around the world.
